Jenny has 25 years experience working in community nursing. She graduated from Christchurch hospital as a Registered Nurse and followed this with her Midwifery Training.
In 1985 after being involved in acute nursing care at Christchurch Public Hospital she commenced working as Case Manager District Nursing with The Nurse Maude Association. Jenny is currently involved as a Clinical Nurse Manager, with Wound Care Specialist Clinics, Emergency Planning and as an Infection Control Nurse with this organisation.
Jenny has been the recipient of the Campbell Ballantyne Scholarship to compare community based nursing to international standards.
She has developed, tested and had accredited organisational specific documentation relating to NZS 8142:2002 & NZ Waste Management Standard.
Jenny currently provides specialised audit, assessment & evaluation to allied health professionals. This relates to ensuring they meet best practice & adhere to current New Zealand Standards. She enjoys the opportunity to continue to actively work with a team environment that encourages collaboration decision making & colleague support.
Jenny has presented at many National Conferences and she is currently involved with Canterbury Primary Pandemic Planning, which is a multi disciplinary team.
She has been the recipient of CDHB
